DATA PRIVACY NOTICE	
	
The Find Jobs La Union is a project of the Provincial Government of La Union in coordination with the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) that aims to provide an avenue for job seekers who are looking for jobs and employers who are offering jobs in the Province of La Union through online. The system is maintained and updated by the PESO.
		
Your privacy is important to FindJobs. All collected personal information for specified and legitimate purposes from the jobseekers and employers will adhere to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 in compliance with the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose and proportionality.

A. Personal Data
Under Section 3(g) Republic Act No. 10173, known as the "Data Privacy Act of 2012", personal information shall refer to;

"any information, whether recorded in a material form or not, from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained by the entity holding the information, or when put together with other information would directly and certainly identify an individual."

Under Section 11 of R.A. 10173, the processing of personal information shall be allowed, subject to compliance with the requirements of R.A. 10173 and other laws allowing the disclosure of information to the public and adherence to the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and proportionality.

Under Section 3(j), processing shall include the collection, recording, organization, storage, updating or modification, retrieval, consultation, use, consolidation, blocking, erasure, or destruction of the data.

B. Data Collection
Find Jobs La Union collects, processes and stores data from you whenever you register, create an account, or otherwise send us data on our site. This may include, but is not limited to your personal information such as your full name, date of birth, age, sex, address, email address, contact number, civil status, employment status, educational background, working experience, trainings, and eligibilities. Registration of employers is subject for approval by the Provincial Public Employment Service Office in order to verify the accuracy and truthfulness of the information they provided to us.

The Find Jobs La Union may collect your personal information for the following purposes:
	a. To verify your identity;
	b. To provide you the service/s which you have requested;
	c. To allow you to explore job opportunities;
	d. To hasten the employer's hiring process.

C. Data Control and Limitation
End-users of the Find Jobs La Union are primarily responsible for ensuring that all personal data submitted are accurate, complete and up-to-date. There may be instances that Find Jobs La Union shall be requesting for updated data and we ask for your cooperation to provide the same.

D. Data Sharing and Security
As a general rule, Find Jobs La Union does not and will not share personal data to ensure the safety and security of your personal information except as necessary for the proper execution of processes related to declared purpose, or the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary, required or authorized under the law.

The data collected may be viewed by the employer/s and authorized PESO staff to fulfill the purposes we have described in this Privacy Notice. They are the only authorized personnel to access and process information.

However, keep in mind that no method of transmission over the internet will guarantee full security. Nevertheless, we have implemented technical procedures like use of secured servers and firewalls to restrict access to the data we collect. While we use such a strategy to protect and secure your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

E. Data Retention and Storage
Data collected are stored in our on premises servers with regular back-up to our off-site servers and will be kept for as long as necessary for the sole purpose mentioned  above. However, you as our clients may request your personal data to be deleted from our database and hard copies within a reasonable requested date.

F. Data Logs
Whenever you visit the findjobs.launion.gov.ph, we collect information that your browser sends. These data logs may include data like your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages that you visit, the date and time of your visit and other statistics related to your site visits.

G. Amendments
Find Jobs La Union reserves the right to update and modify this Privacy Policy at any time and such revisions shall be posted immediately to this site.

YOUR RIGHT AS A DATA SUBJECT
Under Section 16 of R.A. 10173, rights of the subject shall include the following:

The right to be informed
As a data subject, you have the right to be informed that your personal data will be, are being, or were, collected and processed.

The right to access
You have the right to obtain from an organization a copy of any information relating to you that they have on their computer database and/or manual filling system.

The right to object
You can exercise your right to object if the personal data processing involved is based on consent or on legitimate interest.

The right to erasure or blocking
You have the right to suspend, withdraw or order the blocking, removal or destruction of your personal data.

The right to damages
You may claim compensation if you suffered damages due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated,false, unlawfully obtained or unauthorized use of personal data, considering any violation of your rights and freedom as data subject.

The right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC)
You have the right to file a complaint with the NPC if you feel that your personal information has been misused, maliciously disclosed, or improperly disposed, or that any of your data privacy rights have been violated, 

The right to rectify
You have the right to dispute and have corrected any inaccuracy or error in the data a personal information controller (PIC) holds about you.

The right to data portability
You have the right to obtain and electronically move, copy or transfer your data in a secure manner, for further use.
